Since the launch of Astell & Kern with their high quality digital audio players, they have always stuck to using a balanced 2.5mm output on their devices. This only changed in 2020 with the launch of their Kann ALPHA which introduced a 4.4mm socket to their range.
With more and more users finding that they want a 4.4mm balanced cable with their headphones or earphones as it offers less crosstalk, sadly until now it ruled Astell & Kern out of the equation. That was until you could get a DDHIFI DJ44K adapter than converts the 2.5mm and 3.5mm output of your player to be able to offer a 4.4mm connection.
