InEar Promission X Earphones – PMX

The InEar PMX stands for Promission X (Roman Numeral 10), an exquisite 10 driver earphone that has an incredible hybrid wood/resin finish and a sensual sound signature. The PMX commands incredible respect from me personally, very similar to my personal opinion on the lesser driver PP8 as one of my all time favourite earphones. The PMX offers detail unlike any other balanced armature earphone I have heard and creates a sonic cacophony that enables you to forget that you are listening to 10 individual drivers. The PMX has been meticulously crafted to sound like a phenomenal single driver earphone with a ludicrously good 4 way crossover integrated into each earpiece. Much like the smaller brother, conquering demanding pieces of music with precision and utmost delicacy, draws you into the music with a unique presentation. The unique sonic performance of the PMX easily can be likened to that of the PP8, however the balance of the PMX shifts slightly towards a more warmer overall tonality which many people may prefer over the ProPhile 8. Unlike the PP8 the ProMission X does not arrive with any switches to adjust the sound signature and this can be a blessing for some. It will simply be a case of enjoying every moment of what the PMX can deliver, rather than worrying about if you have the dip switches at the right setting and constantly wanting to adjust them to see what a difference can be made. The PMX is a purchase and forget earphone that will amaze you from the get go.

The real benefit of the ProMission X is that it is super easy to drive. This means that you can get an incredible sound from it, simply by plugging it directly into your smartphone, tablet or computer. By paying this premium you do not HAVE to then indulge further in a dedicated portable player, although investing in that too will make a difference, however a smart device will suffice and the benefits can clearly be heard.
