The QDC Blue Dragon – Ultra Exclusive, 10 Balanced Armature Earphone
QDC must be one of the best known manufacturers of earphones in Asia and Audio Concierge are privileged to be able to offer them to clients seeking stellar sonic performance. The exquisitely made Blue Dragon is based around the technology in their current flagship model as of May 2020 and features an incredible 10 transducers in each earpiece.
QDC’s Blue Dragon has taken 18 months to come to fruition and has been crafted using some of the most exotic materials available. The enclosure has been carefully constructed using lightweight titanium due to it’s awesome acoustic properties. To add to the exclusivity the 3D faceplate of the earphones has been meticulously inlaid with a total of about 800 blue sapphires. Inside the faceplates are titanium panels that have been 24 carat gold plated. This unique effect creates the look of dragon scales on the earphone.
Blue Dragon is supplied with a specially developed earphone cable that has been made with a multitude of different conductors for utmost quality. Their Dragon Skin cable consists or Gold plated pure sterling silver conductors, silver plated single crystal copper and an alloy using copper and palladium. For ease of use they have terminated Dragon Skin with a balanced 2.5mm to suit most high quality source components such as Astell&Kern players.
Due to the foundations of Blue Dragon being based around the Anole VX, it offers unprecedented levels of detail with an astonishingly spacious soundstage. Offering up their true performance played from a high resolution player such as the luxurious Astell&Kern SP2000 makes for an outstandingly impressive, musical experience.
Benefiting from a custom developed crossover, the Blue Dragon earphone can be finely tuned to your musical preference, offering a huge number of different sound tunings that you can adjust until you are 100% happy with them. The ergonomic shape means that they fit comfortably inside the ear and offer an amazing fit for hours upon hours of listening with little fatigue.
We feel that the Blue Dragon is clearly among some of the best earphones currently available on the market. Our preference would be to choose the Blue Dragon with the award winning Astell&Kern SP2000 in either copper or silver for a sublime solution.
