As with anything sitting in the Audio Concierge portfolio, the Shozy POLA offers something a little bit different from everything else. The POLA is the first earphone in the world to feature the latest generation of mobile electrostatic tweeter, alongside a graphene dynamic driver, capable of accelerating audio to you with minimal amount of negative artifacts. Unlike traditional electrostatic earphones, no dedicated powerpack/DAC is required like you would find in the Shure KSE1500 for instance. This adds bulk and inconvenience in my opinion. With the POLA featuring such advanced technology, means that you benefit from the electrostatic sound by simply plugging directly into your smartphone or portable player such as the Astell&Kern range.
Alongside the highly advanced tweeter sits an incredible 13mm graphene dynamic, which unlike traditional dynamic drivers offers for less distortion due the the rigidity and weight of the components.
Sound wise the POLA has an incredibly fun presentation with superb treble that extends way above the human hearing threshold. This enables the slightest nuances produced from sound wave energy to be delivered from the earphone, some that can only be “felt” by us rather than heard. All of this adds to the open sonic signature you receive from the POLA earphone. The luxurious NEOTECH core cable has high quality copper and adds extra warmth to the sound signature, meaning that every texture of bass detail can be easily heard and enjoyed.
