The exquisite Campfire Audio Ara earphones join the Audio Concierge Portfolio
Campfire Audio must be of the largest and most well know earphone brands to come out of the USA. They have launched countless classics including their slightly cheaper Andromeda earphone which has an incredible, holographic presentation. The Ara works upon the Andromeda’s success and sits between that and the incredible Solaris earphone. Ara features a 7 balanced armature setup with no crossover, housed in a luxurious Titanium shell for benefits in sonic performance and also for weight.
The Ara leans more towards a reference sound and shows up greater information that is more true to the recording than maybe the Andromeda does so makes for a good upgrade if you are already and Andromeda owner.
Ara features 7 drivers per ear, all seamlessly integrated without a crossover for increased performance during the transition of frequencies between each driver. There are 2 providing the treble with Campfire’s renowned T.A.E.C chamber technology, one driver providing the midrange and then 4 drivers offering up the detailed bass. Although there are 4 drivers used for the bass the Ara is not overwhelmingly bassy, instead it offers a rich and textured bass response that is almost entirely flat in response.
