Clio has been introduced as an entirely new entity in the already successful earphone lineup. Clio offers everything people love about the oBravo sound signature in a luxurious titanium plated enclosure. Building on the new AMT6 platform, Clio features the world’s smallest AMT (Air Motion Transformer) driver technology at it’s core, oBravo wanted a more resolving, more mature sonic performance from Clio, an earphone that sits between their Planar Venus and AMT eamt-2 earphones. Clio adds further texture to the low frequencies over Venus and focuses specifically on Clio’s voice, ensuring amazing transparancy and exceptional resolution. With Clio being the goddess of music, song and dance, the name perfectly encapsulates the ethos behind Clio’s development. oBravo felt it fitting that it be a more detailed and have a more involving presentation rather than being the fun signature found with it’s sibling, such as Venus and Cupid. Utilising oBravo’s 6mm AMT transformer tweeter alongside a large 9mm neodymium dynamic driver, Clio offers best in class sonic performance and incredible levels of detail often unobtainable from alternative technologies.
The stunning brass enclosure has been beautifully finished in a luxurious titanium coating. Developing on from Cupid’s original, exquisite design, oBravo managed to flush mount their proprietary oB-MMCX connection, making fitment of the earphone much more comfortable for the user. The gorgeous finish of the Clio provides users with amazing build quality that can rarely be achieved at this level.
Supplied with Clio is a high quality, silver plated, ohno continuous casting (OCC) litz cable, terminated with a 3 in 1, right angled, twist-lock system with a 3.5mm, 2.5mm and a 4.4mm jack for any player using either an unbalanced or balanced headphone output. The signature cable also sports the functional 3 in 1 twist lock system.
