The Ollo Audio S4X are one of my best finds from 2020 and provides an exceptional, balanced sound whilst being very good value for money. In regards to a “balanced” sound, I would suggest that the S4X is ideal for those wanting to hear more of what the engineers were trying to achieve in the mix rather than being a more coloured sonic presentation like many headphones currently available. The S4X fits the Audio Concierge portfolio perfectly as it offers a completely unique sound that helps draw you into the music. Sadly though this type of headphone will show up music that has not been recorded very well and will show warts and all.

The build quality is amazing and really isn’t conveyed overly well in photos, however upon first holding the S4X in my hands I was th0roughly impressed by its solid manufacturing. On the head the headphone remains very comfortable with a suspension band across the head for extra support and also earpads that are very soft and easily fit my entire ears. The simple design of the S4X makes them one of the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn.

The S4X continues to amaze me as I pair it with everything from my Samsung Smartphone to my Cayin N8 flagship player. Even with just the smartphone they sing and a really enjoyable to listen to. This makes the S4X exceptionally easy to pair and they are not hard to drive at all.
