T+A Solitaire T Pro

T+A Solitaire T Pro Wireless Headphones

There are times when you want the convenience of wireless. There are others when you want to connect to your system and settle into an album. The T+A Solitaire T Pro gives you both.

These closed-back, over-ear headphones combine Bluetooth connectivity and active noise cancellation with USB-C digital audio and a balanced analogue connection. From your desk to a long journey, you have the freedom to choose how you listen.

Dedicated Studio Pro Mode

For those moments when listening takes priority, Studio Pro mode uses a dedicated ESS ES9218 Sabre DAC for digital-to-analogue conversion.

It’s a detail I appreciate: alongside the everyday conveniences, T+A has made room for a dedicated listening mode that puts music first.

Wireless Listening with More Choice

The Solitaire T Pro features Bluetooth 6.0, with support for AAC, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless and LDAC. Your available codec will depend on the device you connect, so matching the headphones to your source is an important part of getting the most from them.

Prefer a cable? USB-C provides a direct digital connection, while the balanced Pentaconn analogue input lets you connect to a suitable headphone source.

Space to Enjoy Your Music

The closed-back design provides passive isolation, supported by hybrid active noise cancellation when you need further separation from your surroundings. Transparency mode lets you hear what’s happening around you without removing the headphones.

Dolby Atmos functionality also extends their appeal beyond music to compatible films and entertainment.

Considered Construction and Comfort

Machined aluminium components, a folding design and soft synthetic leather cushions bring together durability, portability and comfort. At 336g, the Solitaire T Pro is designed to accompany you rather than stay beside your system.

Choose Nightflight or Riviera, with the latter pairing cream white with warm cognac accents.

T+A Solitaire T vs Solitaire T Pro: What’s Changed?

The original Solitaire T brought together wireless convenience, USB-C audio and passive wired listening. The Solitaire T Pro builds on that versatility with a newer wireless platform, wider codec support and Dolby Atmos functionality.

Is the Solitaire T Pro Worth the Upgrade?

For me, the strongest reason to consider the Pro is how you intend to use it. Its broader codec support gives compatible sources more connection options, while Dolby Atmos adds another dimension to its entertainment features. The original T still has a clear advantage in quoted battery endurance. If you already own one, the Pro’s additional features need to be relevant to your listening before an upgrade makes sense. If you’re choosing between them for the first time, I’d look at your source device and listening habits before deciding. The Pro offers more features, but that alone doesn’t tell you which you’ll enjoy more.Codec availability depends on your source device. Battery life varies with listening mode and use.
