Neptune is a dark blue planet, hence its name is associated with the ocean. In Roman mythology, Neptune, one of the twelve Olympian gods, is the god of the sea, ruling over one-third of the universe; his every breath causes climate changes.

Melody Wings introduces a bone conduction unit in the Neptune, aiming to combine dynamic and balanced armature drivers to create a warm, rich bass texture and atmosphere.

Through numerous experiments, monitoring, recording and correction, acoustic engineer modified the external air vents of the housing, adjusted the internal structure, the vibration of each unit and sound wave reflection direction, developing the “Le Verrier Breathing Array.” The shell is equipped with 5 precision air vents, which balance the air pressure changes generated by the vibration of the internal speaker units with the air pressure outside the cavity. At the same time, it forms a sound wave reflecting wall with accurate angles, allowing every driver to vibrate and overlap, presenting a more realistic, natural, and solid sound.

Design – Intelligent Texture

Neptune is the most distant planet in our solar system, approximately 4.3 billion kilometers from Earth, and takes nearly 165 Earth years to orbit the sun. Its surface is enveloped by a thick atmosphere, with wind speeds reaching up to 2100 km/h, making it the windiest planet in the solar system. Storms, polar vortices and ice clouds intertwine to create a dynamic, deep blue world.

Neptune front cavity utilizes HeyGears 3D printing technology to precisely control the shell structure. It uses environmentally friendly resin that is skin-friendly, durable and hypoallergenic. The faceplate is inspired by nature; each piece of birch wood is a meticulously crafted work of nature, with varying grain patterns and directions, revealing nature’s unique gifts. Every texture is a condensation of cosmic wisdom.

Neptune is named after the sea god. The L IEM features the name “Neptune”, while the R IEM faceplate designs a trident and wave motif, symbolizing the sea god’s power over the ocean, while halos and stars embellish the design, echoing the mystery and divinity of Neptune.

Wearing – Immersive Experience Starts with Perfect Fit

The Neptune shell has been optimized through multiple wearing test to fit the human ear’s anatomical structure. The support points are distributed reasonably, reducing local pressure. Even during extended listening sessions, it remains comfortable and stable.

The stainless steel nozzle is rust-proof, clogging-proof and prevents the ear tips from falling off, significantly improving durability.

Tuning Concept – The Pulse of the Deep Sea

Neptune boasts the most violent winds in the solar system, 10 times faster than Earth’s strongest typhoons, hurtling across its surface at supersonic speeds of 2100km/h, capable of instantly pulverizing titanium alloy. Inside, a diamond rain has been falling for 4.6 billion years, with temperatures exceeding 3000℃ and pressures 200,000 times that of Earth’s sea level. In this environment, methane is broken down and carbon atoms are squeezed out, crystallizing into diamonds as they fall.

The engineers did not pursue brightness or high resolution, but instead focused on interpreting the warmth and depth of sound. Like Neptune, it possesses raging winds and deep-sea-like undercurrents—steady, profound and layered.

Unit Configuration

Neptune adopts a 6 unit, 3-way crossover structure: 4 balanced armature drivers,1  dynamic and 1 bone conduction driver. The low frequencies are handled jointly by the dynamic and bone conduction drivers, delivering a solid and layered bass; the midrange is warm and full, with vocals rich in emotion; the high frequencies are smooth and natural, without being harsh.

Tuning Concept – Express emotions in different ways

Venus is the brightest planet that can be observed on Earth except the moon. It has a surface temperature of up to 462°C, so the tuning of the sound needs to have the “hot” emotion.

The engineer believes that sound is the main way to convey emotions, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be warm, it can also be free and indulgent. Venus no longer expresses emotions through the coldness and warmth of the timbre, but realizes this idea through the expressiveness of the sound.

Unit Configuration

Venus is equipped with 3 balanced armature and 1 dynamic drivers with 3-way crossover, which has a unique performance different from other IEMs in the integration of high, medium and low frequencies. Under the precise tuning, the 4 units have achieved consistent timbre and smooth connection of the three frequencies, highlighting the expressiveness of the Venus mid-frequency.

The 10mm beryllium-plated diaphragm dynamic unit is mainly responsible for the bass. Due to the strong rigidity of the diaphragm, the sound details are fully restored, giving full play to the dynamic advantages of the dynamic unit itself.

The customized mid-frequency balanced armature driver has a strong sound density.It is connected with the high and low frequency units to retain and restore more sound elements;
