Since the very beginning of Audio Concierge in 2018, Vision Ears were one of the very first brands that we endorsed with their exquisite silver ERLKONiG earphone. We were in admiration of this earphone as it was only ever available as a universal option and sounded absolutely incredible. For many years there was nothing that Vision Ears could add in their lineup that sat between their custom only VE8 and the ERLKONiG up until the stunning Elysium was announced. The Elysium offers a range of new technologies for Vision Ears earphones and utilises them to give one of the most involving and dynamic presentations of any earphone currently available.
Using dual electret drivers for the high frequencies offers a stupendous and beautifully engaging sparkle that leaves many other earphones behind. With oodles of luscious detail and plenty of airiness the dual tweeter technology provides a simply unique presentation.
For the midrange VE decided upon a dynamic driver to provide an exceptional and involving masterclass in vocal delivery. This attention to midrange detail provides an impressive insight into the musical presentation.
As a very different use of technology, Vision Ears cleverly decided that for the bass frequencies they would spend countless hours fine tuning balanced armatures, providing an amazingly textured and layered bass, again with tonnes of intricate details hurling their way to your ears.
The Elysium fits perfectly between the EVE universal and the ERLKONiG but also represents a different chapter of sonic character that isn’t especially akin to any previous Vision Ears’ incarnations. It is also unlike any other earphone in our portfolio in the way it conveys music. If you are after an earphone that plays on gorgeously emotional and intricate detail then Elysium is the perfect answer.
Due to the configuration of Elysium, Vision Ears felt that ideally a balanced source would be best to get the most from them. With this in mind Elysium is presented with a stunning 8 core 2.5mm balanced cable.
