The Campfire Audio Dorado 2020 earphones join the Audio Concierge Portfolio
Campfire Audio must be of the largest and most well know earphone brands to come out of the USA. They have launched countless classics including their similarly priced Andromeda earphone which has an incredible, holographic presentation. The Dorado 2020 builds on the technology found in the Vega 2020 earphone, adding a balanced armature and utilising Campfire’s T.A.E.C chamber system. By adding a single balanced armature driver it enables Dorado’s 10mm to provide low and mid frequencies and the rest to be handled by the balanced armature. The Dorado is priced the same as their Andromeda, however the Dorado offers a very different sonic presentation. The holographic treble on the Andromeda is loved by many, however for the few that don’t enjoy the sparkle then the Dorado will suit perfectly.
The Dorado 2020 provides a more reference sound and shows up greater information that is more true to the recording than what the Vega 2020 provides. It uses Campfire Audio’s A.D.L.C technology or Amorphous Diamond Like Carbon that has been plasma enhanced with a CVD coating on a huge 10mm driver.
The Dorado 2020 features a hybrid driver technology to engulf you in your music. It is connected to your source using a Smoky Litz Cable connected to Vega’s new Beryllium and Copper alloy MMCX connector. Helping with both longevity of the socket and the sonic performance. The body of Droado 2020 much like Vega 2020 is made from high density ceramic, reducing vibrations inside the chassis and improving on resolution. The Dorado is finished in black as opposed to the white of Vega 2020.
