The Campfire Audio Vega 2020 earphones join the Audio Concierge Portfolio
Campfire Audio must be of the largest and most well know earphone brands to come out of the USA. They have launched countless classics including their slightly cheaper Andromeda earphone which has an incredible, holographic presentation. The Vega 2020 is a rework of their original Vega earphone that was launched to exceptionally positive critical acclaim. I feel that Vega is the first entry into real high-end for the Campfire Audio range, with their IO and other earphones being a more fun listen. The Vega is more refined yet immensely engaging and provides a wonderful insight into the music.
The Vega 2020 leans more towards a reference sound and shows up greater information that is more true to the recording. It uses Campfire Audio’s A.D.L.C technology or Amorphous Diamond Like Carbon that has been plasma enhanced with a CVD coating on a huge 10mm driver.
Vega features a single dynamic driver to absorb you into your music. It is connected to your source using a Smoky Litz Cable connected to Vega’s new Beryllium and Copper alloy MMCX connector. Helping with both longevity of the socket and the sonic performance. The body of Vega 2020 is made from high density ceramic, reducing vibrations inside the chassis and improving on resolution.
